incendiarismXuanwu's temple is very heavily inspired by Chinese temples, with red, gold and black being the main color scheme. (Seriously, all the fabric is gold and red, except in the Shinki rooms.) The temple ends up being quite dark inside because of it, except in the rooms with exceptionally large windows or open areas.
There are a lot of metal decorations and statues, many of which have a turtle and snake design that Judar doesn't understand at all, but it looks cool enough. In spite of the lack of traditional electricity, the temple glows slightly at night (because magic), to make it easier to find your way around outside. Built in nightlights!
It sits on the shore of a large spring. The spring is freezing cold, in spite of looking like a pleasant hot spring. It has a tendency to ice over at the first sign of a temperature drop. If you jump in, you will probably regret it. ♥
There are almost no animals in the area; you'll be lucky to find a bird or a squirrel. The only living things are the plants, the majority of which are peach trees.
There is also a stone-floored outdoor area for martial arts training, but it's almost always empty. In spite of being outside in the sun, it has a tendency to feel cloistered, due to it being in the center of the temple area.
